If you have been searching for a coin dealer near Dunlap, Tennessee, Sequatchie County's options are limited and most pay far less than they should. Clemson Coins in Pendleton, SC is the highest buyer and the most credentialed dealer in the entire region.
Dunlap is the seat of Sequatchie County, Tennessee, a small city nestled in the long, narrow Sequatchie Valley that cuts through the Cumberland Plateau between Chattanooga and the upper Tennessee Valley. The valley's distinctive geography, bounded by Walden's Ridge to the east and the main Cumberland Plateau to the west, gave it an isolated character that shaped its history and economy for generations. The town was established in the mid-nineteenth century and grew as a commercial center serving the valley's agricultural communities and the coal mining operations that developed on the surrounding plateau. The families who settled Sequatchie County across the nineteenth and twentieth centuries accumulated gold coins, silver flatware, and currency that has passed through generations of Sequatchie County estates.
The coal mining industry was the dominant economic force in Sequatchie County for much of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, employing hundreds of miners whose wages supported a prosperous small-city economy. The mining era left behind a legacy of accumulated savings and inherited wealth that still surfaces in Dunlap and Sequatchie County estate sales today. When the coal industry declined, the valley's economy shifted toward agriculture, small manufacturing, and the service industries that support the surrounding communities.
Today Dunlap is a quiet community of about 5,000 residents, with Sequatchie County's population approaching 15,000. The valley's scenic beauty and its proximity to Chattanooga have made it an attractive destination for retirees and outdoor enthusiasts. The surrounding Sequatchie County countryside, with its rolling farmland and historic small towns, has produced generations of families whose accumulated savings and inherited collections now need a serious, credentialed buyer.
Despite Dunlap's history and the wealth accumulated across generations of Sequatchie County families, the city has no coin dealer with the credentials or buying power of Clemson Coins, 95 minutes away in Pendleton, South Carolina. Sellers from Dunlap and the surrounding Sequatchie County area make the drive because the difference in what they receive is real and significant. Sequatchie County estate attorneys and trust officers refer clients to us when a collection needs a buyer with the expertise to pay numismatic value and the financial strength to close the deal the same day. Clemson Coins Pays The Most, ALWAYS!

Most coin dealers, pawn shops, and gold buyers pay only melt value. We pay numismatic premiums on coins that deserve them, and we have the expertise to recognize them.
You should never have to wait for your money. When you sell to Clemson Coins, you walk out with cash or check in hand the same day. There is no waiting, no mailing, and no uncertainty about when you will get paid.

"I went there today for the very first time. Owner was professional and a pleasure to talk to. Extremely honest and fair. He gave me fair market value for my silver. I would not hesitate to recommend his store. You won't find a better and more honest dealer."

"I drove over an hour to visit this coin shop, and it was absolutely worth it. Joe, the owner, was honest, knowledgeable, and gave very fair prices. After checking buy prices all over South Carolina, his shop had the best rates I could find for both silver and gold. There was no pressure at all, and the entire experience was straightforward and enjoyable. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit and will definitely be back. Highly recommended."

"JUST GO TO CLEMSON COINS! Hands down the BEST buyer for your jewelry & coins! I went to a few other places that were enroute to Clemson Coins — let's just say I was offered between 20% and 40% melt value at the other places. Within 5 minutes and no goofing around with acid tests (they have an XRF machine) I was offered more than a reasonable percentage of melt value from Clemson Coins. Don't get GOT at the other places! Worth the drive from Charlotte, NC if that tells you anything! Honest people are hard to find! I won't go anywhere else from now on!"

"Great place! I've gone in several times and found some really cool stuff. They have anything you could want at a really good price! I've gone in for different historical coins for my collection but have also purchased rare metals coins from them and they are very fair with the pricing. Additionally they are very helpful and will answer any questions you have about coins, you can tell they want to help you out! Highly recommend!"
