If you have been searching for a coin dealer near Lenoir City, Tennessee, Loudon County's options do not match our credentials or buying power. Clemson Coins in Pendleton, SC is the highest buyer and the most credentialed dealer in the entire region.
Lenoir City is one of the principal cities of Loudon County, Tennessee, situated at the confluence of the Little Tennessee and Tennessee rivers where the TVA's Fort Loudoun Dam created Fort Loudoun Lake. The city's history stretches back to the early nineteenth century, when it grew as a commercial center serving the agricultural communities of the lower Tennessee Valley. The area's Cherokee heritage is preserved in the name of Fort Loudoun, the British colonial fort built in 1756 to protect Cherokee allies, whose ruins now lie beneath the waters of Tellico Lake nearby. The families who settled Loudon County across the nineteenth and twentieth centuries accumulated gold coins, silver flatware, and currency that has passed through generations of Loudon County estates.
The twentieth century transformed Lenoir City and Loudon County through the TVA's development of the Tennessee River system. The construction of Fort Loudoun Dam in 1943 created Fort Loudoun Lake and brought new industrial and recreational opportunities to the area. The county's proximity to Knoxville and Oak Ridge, the secret city of the Manhattan Project, gave it a distinctive character shaped by the intersection of traditional Appalachian culture and the modern industrial economy. The families who worked in these industries accumulated savings that, for many, took the form of pre-1964 silver coinage and pre-1933 gold coins that now surface in Loudon County estate sales.
Today Lenoir City is a growing community of about 10,000 residents, with Loudon County's population exceeding 55,000. The county's location between Knoxville and Chattanooga, combined with its access to Fort Loudoun Lake and the surrounding natural beauty, has made it one of the fastest-growing counties in Tennessee. The surrounding Loudon County countryside, with its scenic lakefront properties and historic small towns, has produced generations of families whose accumulated savings and inherited collections now need a serious, credentialed buyer.
Despite Lenoir City's growth and the wealth accumulated across generations of Loudon County families, the city's coin dealers do not have the credentials or buying power of Clemson Coins, 85 minutes away in Pendleton, South Carolina. Sellers from Lenoir City, Loudon, and the surrounding area make the drive because the difference in what they receive is real and significant. Loudon County estate attorneys and trust officers refer clients to us when a collection needs a buyer with the expertise to pay numismatic value and the financial strength to close the deal the same day. Clemson Coins Pays The Most, ALWAYS!

Most coin dealers, pawn shops, and gold buyers pay only melt value. A true numismatist knows that a 1916-D Mercury Dime, a 1921 Peace Dollar, or a 1909-S VDB Lincoln Cent are worth far more than their metal content alone. We pay numismatic premiums on coins that deserve them, and we have the expertise to recognize them.
You should never have to wait for your money. When you sell to Clemson Coins, you walk out with cash or check in hand the same day. There is no waiting, no mailing, and no uncertainty about when you will get paid.

Lenoir City is one of Loudon County's largest cities, but the county's coin dealers still do not match our credentials or buying power. Sellers from Lenoir City and the surrounding area make the 85-minute drive to Pendleton because the difference in what they receive is real and significant. Neighboring communities like Maryville, TN and Knoxville, TN face the same situation — no local dealer with the expertise to pay numismatic value on key-date coins, rare currency, or estate-quality collections. Every seller from Lenoir City left with more than they were offered locally. "JUST GO TO CLEMSON COINS! Hands down the BEST buyer for your jewelry & coins! I went to a few other places that were enroute to Clemson Coins — let's just say I was offered between 20% and 40% melt value at the other places. Within 5 minutes and no goofing around with acid tests (they have an XRF machine) I was offered more than a reasonable percentage of melt value from Clemson Coins. Don't get GOT at the other places! Worth the drive from Charlotte, NC if that tells you anything! Honest people are hard to find! I won't go anywhere else from now on!"

"My wife Michele and I stopped by on a whim and spoke with Joe the owner. First of all the shop is fantastic and well stocked with a variety of silver to numismatics. As for Joe and his staff. They were very friendly and knowledgeable. They just gained a customer for life. But who holds down the shop are the adorable Yorkies. We will definitely be back asap. Thank you the great experience.
